  • Mermaid Diaries: Natalia Zelmanov’s Build Tutorials. Natalia has some really wonderful tutorials on all sorts of subjects available at her blog - from hair to jewels to high heels to sculpties. Between Natalia and Torley Linden, my job as a mentor is usually pretty darn easy. ♥
  • Speaking of TorleyVideo Tutorials @ Second Life® Wiki is an extensive (and growing) resource for video tutorials for all things SL™ related! If you can’t already find it here, I bet Torley’s got it in the works. :P
  • Tutorials by Vint Falken. Vint has some of the best photography-related tutorials I’ve ever seen for SL™!

Did you know…

  • … if you enter a no-fly zone already flying, you can keep flying unless/until you choose to land?
  • … if you are trying to move your avatar into a particular (precise) location for a snapshot and you just can’t quite get there, you can use the “Advanced” menu (Press ctrl+alt+d or if that doesn’t work, try ctrl+alt+shift+d) to move your avatar just like you would an object? Advanced -> Character -> Character Tests -> Allow Select Avatar (click) edit an object first or press the build button at the bottom of the screen, and then choose edit mode on the build tab, and then click somewhere on your body (not on a prim attachment). This ONLY affects YOUR view, and if you move at all you will pop back into the original spot you were in, but it can be handy for snapshots. Really handy!
  • … pressing ctrl+g will bring up a handy list of all your active gestures, which also shows at a glance if they have a hotkey set to trigger them?
  • … searching your inventory for “(worn” will show you all the clothing and attachment pieces you have on? Can be handy if you’ve been mixing and matching items and have forgotten what the name of that great insert-attachment-or-clothing-item-here is!

Note: expect this page to change a lot!
